KNITTING: A really pretty frilled ”pop over” style tea cosy, made as a skirt for a china figure. These were very popular but it is less easy to find the china doll bodies now (I have seen them for about £10 upwards online as vintage pieces). However the cosy looks great without her too-or I have also seen one made with a tiny knitted doll figure!
It is knitted a 2 pieces (underskirt) with previously knitted “frills” worked in as you go. (From a small 1960s Bestway silver bazaar leaflet.)
This is a similar construction to the loopy layers tea cosy Z1386 which I can include free with this version.
