CROCHET: A surprisingly modern sweater/blouse from a vintage 70’s booklet. The body is fitted and crocheted in a plain stitch-with a lace mesh for the full gathered sleeves. (There is also an option to make this with the upper part of the sleeve only-as a short sleeved top.)
The high “Victorian”, choker style neckline, cuffs and sleeve are decorated with a layer of lace mesh In a contrasting, glittery yarn (this could be continued in the main yarn if preferred)). It is made in 4ply/sport weight crepe yarn.
The 4ply crepe had a defined stitch texture (the photo is slightly soft focus) and the glitter yarn was also a 4ply with a thin metallic thread twisted through it.
