Two simple patterns for beanie style hats and a cowl or “collar” insert.
KNITTED: The knitted cap or beanie style had is close fitting in wide rib (K2,P2) with a garter stitch brim. It has a matching collar -similar to a modern “cowl” but designed to be worn as a neckline insert for added warmth !
CROCHET: This easy, crochet hat design is in a pretty shell stitch – which can be done –as shown-in varied colour bands. There is an (optional) crochet flower trimming the brim on one side. (You could easily make a matching scarf or cowl using this pretty stitch.)
