Two lovely vintage tea cosies to make; both in thick wool to keep the tea nice and hot, and both can be done in scrap oddments if you wish-a good way to use them up. They make good little gifts too, for anyone who enjoys vintage style as well as hot tea.
Crochet: top down in a chunky cluster stitch-easy to adapt in size.
Knitted: this is knitted in a loopy “dropped stitch” in thick wool. The little china doll figurine is charming, but the cosy can be made without her if you cannot find one-maybe with a loop or pompom instead.
