KNITTING & CROCHET: These retro tea cosy patterns were from an old woman’s magazine page; they are both described as gay-and they are certainly colourful! They are made in a “pop over” curved shape, and the knitted one has a matching stand (or mat) to insulate under the pot as well. Great if you live in a cold house!
KNITTING: The knitted cozy has a high contrast chevron stripe design in garter stitch, suggested as blue and white-good for a great deal of sports teams and patriotic Norwegians you may know!
Black and white would look rather sharp-or a more ladylike softer contrast in different pastel shades would be pretty... or just use any old oddments again as suggested. (Much easier to knit than it looks.)
CROCHET: the crocheted cosy is even more brightly coloured, and exuberantly embellished with tufty fringe topping. So retro it is right back on trend-perfect gift any serious tea drinkers!
Also easy to make-a nice project for learners.
