CROCHET: this empire line sixties “dolly” dress is just perfect! It is made with two different stich patterns-both easy and not too revealing-for maximum crochet style in a simple shape.
The gently flared skirt skims the hips and is very flattering in a “V” stitch. The sleeves and bodice are in an offset shell stitch and there is a cord tie to pull it slightly in under the bust.
One of my all-time favourite looks and it will take you anywhere; from a wedding or special event, the office, the beach-or a party!
The top would easily adapt into a cute cropped festival top, or a bolero for a summer dress or even a wedding dress.
