KNITTING: Navy blue version. A plain stocking stitch sweater with a round neckline and wide band of inserted knitted lace added down the length of the sleeve.
CROCHET: White version. The simple round necked jumper is crocheted in plain trebles (USA dc). The lace insertion is formed from a strip of joined (in white) crochet motifs (in blue). There is a basic diagram for the motif and its edging.
I would think purchased lace could also be used as an alternative for either of these jumpers.
