CROCHET and KNITTING: A late sixties style sheath dress in an easy crochet stitch pattern with plain knitted collar and cuff trim.
The zany zebra stripes are done in a very easy way by varying stitch height, this is an unusual stitch pattern for a dress-but often used for blankets, as it grows quickly and looks great in contrast colours. The knitted collar and cuffs could be replaced with crochet ones; a ‘linen’ or ‘crochet moss stitch’ would give a similar plain, soft effect. You could make more of a statement with a crochet ribbed collar band, or just go for a neat edge in a shell or crab/cord stitch.
