KNITTING: This is a vintage sixties bunny in a cheeky outfit of trousers and a roll neck jersey (or pants and sweater!)
Bobbie Rabbit is a knitted version of a character created in the late 60s for a road safety campaign. He is a typical style of character created by talented toy designer Barbara Barlow; detailed and well observed from nature-despite the added clothing!
This pattern is quite advanced with lots of shaping given in very detailed knitting and finishing instructions. So I would say he is more of a display item than toy; it is quite an advanced structure to make although the knitting itself is straightforward. However he is worth the effort, becoming a very cheeky looking chap when done!
He was originally from a set of three characters would say this is an advanced pattern, probably more for display than play. I also have Tufty Fluffy tail and Willy Weasel rabbit patterns so please ask if interested in these.
(His kite is not included but you could make him a similar one from paper!)

It is a very detailed pattern –more for an experienced toy maker, although all the knitting is in plain stocking stitch. It does come with detailed knitting and finishing instructions but I would say this is an advanced pattern, probably more for display than play.
