CROCHET: A very easy traditional little baby cardigan to crochet - such a good pattern for those new to crochet or in a hurry to produce something for baby! The simple, front buttoned style has a round or “V” neck line option and a column of stitch detail each side of the front. For an even plainer cardigan you could work plain trebles there instead.
The round neck style is referred to as a “Lumber” (jacket?) and the style is named “Bimbo”. That was the name of a popular song - nothing to do with modern “ladies”. Vintage patterns - always the unexpected details!
