KNITTING: this is an unusual combination of designs together in this very vintage tea cosy pattern.

An interesting novelty tea cosy pattern for a “standard” crinoline lady uses a china doll body and 3 textures to her skirt and underskirt. The main body of the cozy – her full crinoline skirt is made in 2 colour/textures with a plain “overskirt". The china doll body added on top ( These china doll bodies pop up in vintage markets – or you could use a small toy doll instead by removing the legs - ouch! ).

The very cute hen and chick set is given character with felt shapes( template is given) and has a fluted “feather“ back set over the plain rib “underbody". However , in my opinion, but the little chick egg cosies really steal the show; they would be great for popping over small chocolate Easter eggs too.

N.B. Both tea cosies could actually give 2 variations as they are made in layers. So just using one of the crinoline lady layers all over would - with a pompom on top maybe… give a frilled or a fluted cosy – and the hen would give a fluted or ribbed alternative.

Each tea cosy is reset onto its own page for easier printing.
