KNITTING: A pattern for two pretty knitted lace bed jackets from the mid-seventies. (There were still homes with no central heating around then, but even in warm homes the bed jacket concept was still popular !)
Style one, in white, has inset sleeves and a small roll collar fastened with a ribbon bow and an open front. The collar and edges are knitted in moss (seed) stitch, so will lie nice and flat.
Style two, in pink, has fluted elbow length sleeves and an open front with a round, buttoned yoke which is worked onto them. (Yoke is knitted in garter –plain-stitch.)
