CROCHET: A simple pattern to make your very own retro poncho-or an unusual variation of the poncho styled as a top with sleeves!
Both have chunky statement fringing-it looks especially wonderful on the elbow length sleeves! You can wear the poncho with its seam along the arms or down the front (as shown)… or even leave one seam open for a throw around wrap or cape effect.
The “Ponchettos” top or “poncho with sleeves” version makes a great alternative to get the boho / hippy / festival vibe without actually wearing a poncho… which let’s face it can be a mixed blessing in terms of practicality.
The bateau neckline on it is also very flattering…although I can’t say the same about her peculiar squatting pose (presumably adopted to show off the chevron point in case we missed it! Yee hah!)
