KNITTING: this dainty set of cosies are from a vintage magazine “pull out”, designed for fund raising projects.
They are knitted in a double layer for warmth; a n upper layer of a delicate stitch pattern or rows of little “bells“, which is lined with plain garter stitch pieces. The sides of 2 are sewn up-leaving openings for the spout and handle on the tea pot. The tops are tightly gathered and tied with a bow of crocheted chain stitches (or a ribbon or knitted cord can be used instead).
