CROCHET: A vintage crochet pattern, in emailed PDF format, for creating a beautiful lace long sleeved lace cardigan or sleeveless vest / waistcoat.
Both alternatives have a “U” shaped scoop neckline popular in the early seventies (the pattern is from 1973) and button up the front. The cardigan jacket is long line with full sleeves lightly gathered onto a narrow cuff band (crocheted on afterwards).
They are worked hem up in a 6 row lace pattern which is very easy; actually only 3 different rows are used, offset to complete the lace pattern and there is no shaping in the main body or sleeve to worry about! It is therefore easy to adapt or alter in length or width.
This would also adapt easily for a short sleeve or into a cropped lace top. It would look very pretty as bolero for a wedding dress or bridesmaid cover up jacket...
