KNITTING: A fab retro sixties pattern for a very stylish serape or poncho design. It is an unusual buttoned and shaped version with a very stylish look, from 1963. This bound and buttoned creation is made in a double moss (seed) stitch pattern for a great texture.
It is almost a jacket as it is side buttoned too; caught under the deep dolman shaped arms with those chunky buttons so prevalent in sixties fashions.
This version was included as the offering for “Mexico” in a “round the world” themed magazine.
Somehow the model even manages to carry of the OTT themed hat they gave her with 60’s panache; but no wonder she is hiding her face!
A very stylish introduction to poncho wearing. Tempted?
