KNITTING: A man’s casual cardigan jacket in retro, 70s style, popularised by Starsky and Hutch (the famous TV detective double act of the 70s)! This wrapped and belted pattern has the shawl collar, dropped shoulder line Starsky look, with bands of Mexican intarsia design. It also has pockets!
Please note: the pattern for the colour changes is WRITTEN IN FULL STITCH BY STITCH, ROW BY ROW in the usual vintage method, not DISPLAYED in a CHART form. It does not give instructions about using intarsia or Fair Isle either – intarsia works better in larger blocks-but some rows can be done in Fair Isle if wished. It is easy to knit –apart from the colourwork bands which need a little care (unless you just make it plain in one yarn).
You could always steal this one back and wear it yourself too-although I have ladies designs in similar styles, just ask!
