CROCHET: this modestly styled, classic bikini is easy to crochet in a basic double crochet stitch. Interest comes from the use of coloured bands to trim the panties and define the “V” shaped cups in a striking chevron design. You can easily vary the amount and width , and colours of the bands to customise the bikini how you like.
The cups are crocheted around a center portion in rows of a different direction, which gives more scope for altering the cup shape and size if needed.
The panties have quite a modestly deep side seam (originally seventies style panties with more coverage!). However it’s easy to make them skimpier if you prefer by working less rows, or adding a few for the currently trendy waist high look.
