KNITTING: A basic soldier doll to knit –the iconic UK Guardsman. He is a tad smaller than the real ones-at 20 inches (50cm) high when made in UK double A thinner yarn would shrink him a bit; if that is too much soldier volume to have around!
He can be made in his working uniform-maybe in combat camo gear if you wish to adapt the simple removable clothing.
A good soft toy for small boys with his unfussy robust shape-or little girls who don’t mind having a boy doll to accompany their dollies... or maybe as a London souvenir-easier to take home than a real one-and a tad cuddlier than the real guys when they are on duty!
