KNITTING: This is a lovely vintage doll knitting pattern for creating these charming ladies in their national costumes… although a costume for Miss England seems to have stumped them, LOL!
Each doll comes out at about 12 inches ( approx. 30 cm) and there are detailed instructions for the different clothing and the faces .the clothing is knitted on-but you can of course make a bare dolly and make her some clothes using the instructions as a starting point (although you would need to allow an extra stitch or so on the edges, for ease and sewing up). There is no reason they have to be in the costumes; the basic shapes are nice anyway and you could use up oddments clothing them..
These can be played with or make nice display pieces… some fun knitting.
