KNITTING: Vintage knitted bunnies –perfect for Easter time or nursery décor-and great for playing with. The set with mummy and the babies is lovely for imaginative play, and a few little carrots and lettuces would be easy to add (see my notes in the pattern).They would be good as the little family for any little fans of the Beatrix Potter books or films.
One of the small ones - at just 4-5 inches high-makes a perfect little clutch toy, they are very quick and easy to knit up. .. I have a couple of lovely stories from knitters who are recreating their own from childhood, for another generation.
They are also very nice as instead of (or with) an Easter egg or Easter basket. If you were keen enough to make several you could use them for a basket full, bunting or an Easter hunt
Included in the article was a bunny pencil pot [dressed politically incorrectly as a “chinaman”]. An odd concept, but for other projects it has a nicely shaped ‘bunny head’ if viewed strictly as a pattern. I have added it – but will remove it if you do not want it.
