CROCHET: A very simple to crochet shift dress, in a great range of sizes from chest 22” right through to bust 38”; so it is a good one for petite sizes too. Ideal for bridesmaids and “mother and daughter” matching up (be prepared for retrospective recriminations when she hits her teens, changes her mind- and see those cute photos)!
However it is a pretty look for girls of all ages and is also a good first project as it is very easy to make. It is made with no side seams, in an easy repeat shell pattern and worked top downwards.
An ideal first garment project – and it would also make a fab short summer top or slightly longer loose tunic over jeans. (With the skirt worked on to the yoke; so length is just a “stop when done” finish.)
