CROCHET: A maxi dress or wedding dress to make, full of seventies boho va va voom.
To quote the original pattern description:
“This elegant flared gown makes you the centre of attention. Crochet it in pastel colours for an ideal bride’s maid’s dress.” Well! That just about covers it. I am not sure the raspberry confection is actually pastel… but the concept would be fine if it was!
Once you get past the colour choice the dress has a feminine and flattering shape with a fitted bodice, scoop neckline, and wonderfully frilly sleeves and hemline. The lace of the sleeve frills is made of flower shapes formed by rows.
This is an easy lace to do, and you could use the pretty floral frills on any other garment, or maybe make a simple tee shirt top from the bodice pattern-perfect for festivals!
