KNITTING: Three very sweet traditional baby cardigans, with a Peter Rabbit or duckling motif; perfect for Easter but cute anytime.
The same motif is used but the white Marriner cardigan from 1962 looks quite different from the much later yellow original from Sirdar. This early one uses a charming and even older format with really lovely drawings of a toddler and woodland creatures!
Please note that vintage baby garments were made to a closer fit than we are used to with modern sizing; so check the measurements for the age 1-2 (22 inch chest) and 20, 22 and 24 chest sizes as given.
The motifs are in chart form so you can use them on any other pattern you have, or for even for cross stitch motifs. I have enhanced and enlarged them for easier use but an original image of them is also included to refer to as well.
