CROCHET : A true “pinafore” (apron) shape with patch pockets and a deep armhole giving an almost bib front effect. The skirt part from the hipline has a more textured open stitch which is a pretty effect.
This is a late sixties style, very versatile and easy to make tunic dress. It is so easy to restyle for today; wear it just as it is or make it shorter. The pockets are sewn on afterwards so they could be left off. It is crocheted hem up- so carrying on ‘straight’ for longer in the side seam will make it into more of a dress.
Altogether nice and cosy with lots of layering options.
And note the ‘bang on trend’ birdcage from a (then!) trendy London shop, which got a special mention.
