CROCHET: Two different 70’s bikinis in this pattern, both easy to crochet.
The yellow bikini is very retro with a little buckle detail on the panties and deep V neckline, in very 70’s“Bond Girl” styling! It has an elasticised, buttoned back strap and crossover back neck straps; defiantly one for action girls!
The classically shaped bandeau style bikini is quite modest but a nice wide set straps scope for great colour impact in the stripes! The back is also a straight wide band and it fastens discreetly on the side seam, under the right arm.
The panty line on both could easily be lowered, or deepened, a tad from its modest 3” deep hip seam as it is worked hip downwards.
This is a good style for a fuller bust (larger cup size) as there is bust dart shaping both under and over the bust.
These are crocheted mostly in simple treble stitch (DC in US), from the innovative “Barbara Warner” design studio (Twilleys C857).
