KNITTING: This is a charming pattern for a set of wedding clothes- there are 8 garments and 2 hats-plus a headband… so a good variety for a retro dolly wedding.
She is a very mod bride in her wedding trouser (pants) suit - although you could use any of the 3 dresses as a mod mini style short wedding dress. However it is the bridesmaid who is wearing a flower trimmed mini dress and flower headband. There are two lady guests, one in a dress, and huge flower trimmed picture hat; the other in a cute mini skirt and top (in red apparently, although it is black and white image being referred to!!). She also has a flower trimmed, beanie style hat.
There is no sign of the groom but do seem to have roped in a barefoot and casually dressed chap as well. He looks a little bemused-I am not surprised. The whole day seems to have got on top of them by the somewhat unladylike poses-but I am sure it was enjoyed by all (not least the photographer).
The original photos are not very good prints; it was a send away pattern on quite flimsy paper. However, I have done what I can with them and the Weekend magazine patterns are well set out; easy to use and nice little projects. Your dolly clothing creations will be unique anyhow!
