KNITTING: this is a knitted set of classic animal toys; typical of the sixties and very retro now. The shapes and faces are cartoon inspired and so they are knitted as flat all in one shapes, rather like cushions or pillows. The similar basic outline is then embellished in various ways to produce (in this instance) a cat, panda, mouse/ mice and monkey; all popular choices for toys at that time.
I have similar patterns for more of them and I am sure you could make up others!
I was given a particularly scary monkey like this called Jacko – but I am now fully recovered from the shock of him- hanging unexpectedly in a doorway- haha.
