KNITTING: Another retro toy rabbit and chick to make from this vintage Easter knitting pattern from Robin wools. In fact this chick actually looks remarkably like a duck - another popular vintage toy shape!
However, they are really nice shapes to create, although I think the face on the poor rabbit needs a redo from ‘cross eyed with his tongue pointing out’ (this is my tweaked version in the images). He sits up nicely so is great for Easter displays and he is very “huggable” too, for little hands.
The little bonnet is a very quaint addition to a little chick; but she could be made without it for a more modern look or maybe even with an unfilled tummy for holding a surprise Easter egg!
