KNITTING: Some very retro Sixties cosy patterns for three sizes of pot. These are an interesting twist on the traditional shapes reflecting the fashions of the time and the new chunky pottery styles.
The lid is exposed-a useful shape if you want to leave the cozy on the pot as a fixture. They all have openings for a spout and handle-and are made in two half sides. Double knitting is used doubled up; a modern chunky yarn could also be used.
The pot holder, coffee and one tea cosy are made in traditional pleated method. Modern decorations are mini pompom ties on the coffee pot and some bold embroidered flowers on the teapot.
Model “A” is made in a checked Op art pattern with a crochet trim. (A little crochet trimming was common on knitted items –but a knitted trim could be made quite easily if preferred.)
