KNITTING: A very cute little waistcoat (vest if you are in America!) to knit for a little girl. Right on trend now this crochet look top from 1972 is a quick knit to update her wardrobe. (maybe don’t tell her it is one her granny had too!)
It has decorative bands in a nice textured stitch, but you could make it plain or in a different stitch pattern if you like-even in stripes!
It also has a self cord tie front-in a bow! Plus lots of fringing... but again these could be optional if you are avoiding a full retro look!
You could even use this pattern to make a short bolero top; which would be cute on a bridesmaid.
